Follow The Money To Where?

I thought I heard on channel 5 news last night that the chief justice of the state supreme court makes $154,000 a year while Dr. Latham make $167,000 a year.  Can somebody please explain to me how this is justified. I know Lynn is the fifth largest school district in the state, but we are talking CHIEF JUSTICE

I believe there are 25 school administrators making over $100,000 a year. We will be adding a new deputy superintendent to that is at probably $140,000, I'm just saying, "What's in your wallet?".

I wonder how many more kids we will have to crowd into the classrooms to pay for this new deputy?

  1. She is a Dr. Her salary is on par for someone of her education level and position.
100k. This is the going wage for a person who has worked hard to achieve a position by higher their education.
They also have to support the have nots like you Stanley. Who do you think pays for your housing, free medical care and other things you get since you cannot work. You seem like quite an able bodied man since you can work in the library and publish this blog. Why not get a paying job? Better yourself so you could be like Dr. Latham one day.
You really should not be in any position in the public schools. A volunteer/or employee and any other school would be asked to leave.
Any other society in the world you'd be living in a leper colony scrounging for leftover beans.
Why would any member of any school position have to answer to a louse like you? You should be shouting your thanks out to the people who take care of you!
Volunteer in the library but don't think that if your freaky antics by bringing peoples names through the flames don't stop many TAXPAYER and PARENTS will be doing what they can to make sure you don't come into contact with their children. Then you could run your blog anyway you want!

  2. Time To Stop, funny that you chose that pen name to hide behind. Clearly you don't know "What time it is" yourself. I just quit working one year ago March 10 due to my worsening multiple disabilities.

If you truly knew me or even of me, you would slither back into the hole you came out of just to spew your ignorant venom. Don't worry I don't really take offense at your words, I just consider the source.

I will quit volunteering in the library any time I am asked. My time could be spent in ways that would benefit me more personally. I could be spending my time looking for leftover beans.

  3. What do you want to bet that "Time to stop" is a candidate for the deputy super. position? Who else would love Latham so deeply as a person vying for the position? I've asked my self recently, "Why does Latham need a second deputy?" and the answer is very clear. One will be her actual secretary and the other will sit under her desk and "motorboat". Who wouldn't want that job?

  4. UHH... If you can publish online and get to a library every day or at least a few days a week, you can work. If you choose not to work but are independently wealthy, good for you. If you choose not to work and take handouts from hardworking people, shame on you. The Gov't has no money, it is taken from others.

Strong people overcome disabilities and are self sufficient. Suckling at the teat of everyone else's hard work is never good for one's well being.

I am sorry you have medical issues, but, again, if you can work, you should, even if it is in a different field than your original profession.

So it's not OK to suggest that you're a leach on the system that chooses to not be self suffient but it is OK to make crass sexual innuendos?

I find it funny that many from lynn are incredulous at $150k salaries of educated people. What have you actually accomplished in your life? What tasks have you worked hard at for years and years and years?

Maybe if you channeled your energy into a productive path like an advanced degree from a good school you too could be on a path to a good salary. It takes hard work, not just spouting complaints though...

  5. I really like this blog. I think it is getting the people of Lynn to finally speak up about the many problems in our poorly run school system. I wish more people would go the the SC meetings but they don't for many different reasons. This blog helps to educate parents, administrators, teachers and just plain old citizens of the city. I would really like the contributors to THINK before they type. Attacking Stanley personally is just stupid. I do believe that in his heart he is trying to help. (Stanley, a note to you: make sure you have something to SAY before you type. Use your exploding readership in the best way possible. If you don't have something to say, say nothing at all.) a friend

  6. And implying that parents have a reason keep their children away from their volunteer librarian is OK? The people of Lynn aren't incredulous of a $150K salary. We cannot believe we have to pay another $150K when we don't have LIBRARIANS!

Attacking Mr. Wotring isn't going to help your cause nor is constantly implying he's a leach to the system. Do you want to know who is sucking this city dry? It's people like you. People blinded by a Ph.D. and hoodwinked into believing she's doing a good job and should continue to keep said job. You're the leach and you should be ashamed.

  7. Anon 159, you have no clue what I have done or what I have accomplished or what I have passed up. Maybe you should seek some additional education and then you would be able to string together a few sentences making a credible argument instead of resorting to a sophomoric logic.
