In recognition of April as Autism Awareness Month, the Lynn Special Education Parent Advisory Council is presenting a workshop for parents on “Preparing your Child with Autism for Community and Family Activities.” This presentation will take place next Monday, April 6, at 6:00 PM in Room 205 of the LPS Administration Building. Katie Myers from May Institute will be the featured presenter.
I hate that I am going to miss this informative meeting due to a prior engagement. With the swelling numbers, autism may well become the next big national tradegy. We need to learn about it to be able to understand the consequences of its growing existence. It is lifechanging without a doubt. You just have to decide the direction of the change.
