IT COULD HAPPEN

There are a couple of things in play here. First there is the salary. It is huge (I am pretty sure we don't even know how big it is really) and the timing of the raise is bad given the financial struggles at LPS and the city.Given those numbers a posting could attract NATIONWIDE attention and draw top candidates. With the vote to renew the superintendent's contract saddles LPS with 3 years of $207,000 plus. But hey at least those huge numbers do count toward NET SCHOOL SPENDING.

Speaking of which, I really don't thing the foundation spending is right but it is what it is and crying about it to the wrong people doesn't change it. We just need to play by the rules. I just don't understand why the SUPER doesn't fight for LPS's share of YOUR taxes. Could it be the UNREALISTIC RAISE(Who gets one that big) was possibly HUSH money?

Oh we could easily start a petition and force yet another PUBLIC HEARING.

SURE THE VOTES WOULD NOT CHANGE BUT IT WOULD GUM UP THE WORKS AND HELP MOLD FUTURE BEHAVIOR BECAUSE WE ARE STUCK WITH HER FOR THREE MORE YEARS ONCE THAT CONTRACT IS SIGNED.

AND....

given the possibility of multiple public hearings in the future might help her decide to retire early. Given the problems with the city funding and the changes coming to education, FLORIDA's got to be looking nicer every day. CHARTERS are coming, the RACE is over.
