READING THE TEA LEAVES IF YOU CAN

Here is a reality check!

Shocking report at Highlands Coalition. Some people did a survey of the 4 kindergarten class' parents (about 120 kids) and not one parent had obtained an education beyond 4th grade! About 80% don't speak English at home. I find it incredible that teachers are doing such a great job teaching such an incredibly diverse population of 5 year olds in such difficult circumstances but how does one person reach 30 kids from such varied backgrounds?

What we need are real answers to actual problems that we all face. Running away from them and complaining about them won't bring about any change. Real change will come from facing up to them and working for solutions. Playing the BLAME game won't make anybody read better.
