ON YOUR MARK, GET SET A WHERE DID YOU SAY THAT RACE WAS GOING?

Doesn't matter where you start, sometimes you end up at the same place: BEHIND. That's what this former classmate (Okay, we never actually sat in front of the same blackboard-in the old days blackboards were black before they got smart-he is a few years younger but we both were NORTHVIEW TROJANS and LIBERTY MOUNTAINEERS) is trying to say.

Now in the story he is talking about the dangers of imposing mediocrity on us all in an effort to raise everyone. It never works. The real trick is to find out why something is working and try to pull everyone else up and NOT drag everyone down to a place where disparity doesn't exist because the cookies all came from the same cutter.

I've said it many times before - it's just physics, DIFFERENCES ARE WHERE OUR ENERGY FOR CHANGE COMES FROM.

And sometimes the best change comes from staying the same.
