RULES, RULES...WHO FOLLOWS RULES?

Once again MARSHALL MOVES AHEAD by making its own waves, Going possibly against protocol in regards to the FACEBOOK FOLLIES. We are all given a lesson in the POSITIVE PRONOUNCEMENTS provided with POSTING.

As you may know, on December 22, we lost one of our 6th grade students to a very rare condition called HLH. Julio Melara was with us for just a short time, yet long enough to be respected as a classy 11 year old who loved being a student at Marshall. This Friday we are asking everyone to remember Julio by wearing his favorite color combination, which according to his mom was purple and blue. We are also asking students to make a donation in his name and in exchange we will be allowing you to wear a cap for the day! The minimum donation is 50 cents, but you can donate more if you would like. In addition to getting to wear the cap, one of our student leader groups is creating pins that will have purple and blue ribbons. Our plan is to donate all monies raised that day to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Julio's name. This was the charity that his mom chose. We will be presenting her with the check to St. Jude's on Friday. So, if you are able to donate, that's great. But even if you can't donate, please wear blue and purple for the day to show everyone that Marshall will not forget one of our newest Mustangs! I know you and I know you will shock us all with the colors and the donations. Thank you!
