We are approaching a new era of parental involvement, Unfortunately the demands of living day to day has caused our disposable FREE time to shrink. Time and money have become mutually exclusive commodities, I know because I have lots of time but no money.
Technology has worked to aid in this isolation. As recently illustrated by a NOTRE DAME football player, we even believe serious relationships can even be carried out without physical contact. What have we become?
It is easy to lament the woes of technical isolation and succumb to the idea that our society is on a downward spiral towards loneliness and civic decay.
OR.....
we can take a hold of the wonders of modern technology and tame the forces that have driven us apart, LPS needs to get out in front of the SOCIAL MEDIA movement instead of being chained to the stale, old ideas of the past.
Thankfully some wise people are not waiting until the current catches up with reality. Both MARSHALL and PICKERING have recently had a flurry of FACEBOOK activity. I have even noticed ENGLISH begin a little activity. Communication is the key to sparking involvement. Anything that aides this is pure positive.
