An AMAZING thing happened today and it will probably go unnoticed or should I say would if no one had been on the WATCH. Using the technology available to EVERY SCHOOL, a CONNECT ED phone call was put out to the PARENTS that help was needed in assembling a number of bookshelves for the classrooms.
Not only did about 20 of them rush into help this morning on SHORT NOTICE, many of them came armed with the tools needed to complete the task.
You probably won't read about this in the ITEM or you won't hear about it during one of those boring school committee meetings I subject myself to but this is an example of what a COMMUNITY SCHOOL does because the community realizes it's their school.
