THERE'S AN APP FOR THAT

Parents: Translation technology needed to bridge language gap

I have to admit LPS has at least paid some attention to the LYNN PARENTS ORGANIZING FOR BETTER EDUCATION. Kind words have been exchanged. Now we at the WATCH will be watching, Got to make sure that action follows rhetoric.

I know some new translation equipment has been purchased. Translation service has been provided for some mass meetings. It seems to me the bug concern we are talking about here is the spur of the moment, one on one time. We need to become masters of technology, not its slaves.

  1. Lynn is so behind in technology it's pathetic! They don't even have an online district system where parents can see their kids assignments, grades, communicate with teachers, etc. It's as if they purposely don't do anything that allows parents to be aware and involved. It's almost like Lynn wants to remain a failure of a school district so they can continue to get the millions in funding which they use to fill the pockets of the administrators.

    1. Everybody talks about the millions we get for failing. Look at the numbers, we actually get MORE money for being POOR (over $6 million in Title I) than we get in monies for FAILING aka - RACE TO THE TOP.
