BEND OVER, ASSUME THE POSITION

Lynn pushing ahead with Brookline Street land taking

So it begins. DAVID COPPERFIELD would be so proud. Illusions can at least give us the feeling of comfort and a sense of security, even if it is a FALSE one.

How many pieces are we talking about taking? TWO, well that;s not so bad. CRICKET REALTY has two lots.

The Brookline Street lots are currently valued at $1,275,000 by the city, according to assessing records. The two lots total about 190,000 square feet.

We are already being prepared for a battle of opposing VALUATIONS.

HMM.....

I wonder what that means? And well, the way I read that there is some plan to go forth on some developing that wasn't previously approved, something that I bet is going to increase the value and HENCE....the cost of acquisition.

STILL...

we are not done. You see they are not gonna be done just yet. You see there is this little matter of TWO MORE homes.

Two Brookline Street homes will also be taken by the city for the Marshall project. Cyr met last November with the two homeowners and Lamanna said the takings will occur after the city takes the two large lots from Cricket

I've told you to watch out for these MATH people. So we are actually goning to be ACQUIRING 4 properties Mind you, not all in the same taking. Multiple court battles means the lawyers get to make even more money. The pleasure of billing by the hour.

Oh yeah, I thought I read in the ITEM one of the homeowners is called DONOVAN, I could be wrong. The name does sound familiar, probably no relation to anybody though.

We are probably going to be getting these properties. Can't stop the legal process when it is done quite legally. So at the end of the day (which happens to be about eight weeks long) we (the city) are gonna own at least 4 more properties and some officials will be holding a candlelight vigil hoping that voters will be hoodwinked into PASSING a tax increase to fund the frivolity.

  1. The Donovan of Brookline St that you are referring to is a Lynn School Dept employee. Maybe that is why the name is familiar to you.
