I waited on commenting on this story because it hit to close to homw. My daughter is going into the eigth grade and well she has been involved with GIRLS INC. She is living with her Mom at the present time of which I don't approve. Thanks to the WISDOM of DCF and theblind, deceived eyes of the JUVENILE COURT SYSTEM, she is there.
So that is why this next fact raises my passion and anger, I can find no money or programs for teen pregnancy. EDUCATION is the key to PREVENTION. Maybe it's there but I couldn't find it. Please somebody point it out to me.
What I did find was COUNCIL PRESIDENT PHELAN'S wife's job as PROGRAM SPECIALIST at CONNERY being continued at around $74,000 a year. Sorry to point out (some would say pick on) your wife but this is my DAUGHTER'S future we are talking about and well I'm not to friendly to lawyers or quasi social workers right now.

Dropout rates affect dollars. Pregnancy preventation is an investment that yields multiple dividends. Not only in attendance reimbursements but decreased need for public assistance later on. That will mean lower taxes in the long run andthere will not be the need to come up with TRASH TICKET schemes to raise revenue to pay for raises.
