DOLLAR DAZE - FALSE ADVERTISING?
You know I was thinking,(I do that a lot). If people who sell breakfast cereals put out false info like LPS did about the BUDGET somebody would be being fined,but for them it's LEGAL.
True statement! However, in LYNN, anything goes and no one is ever held accountable! Just look at the Daily Item today (Manny's son gets firefighter job). I guess being friends to Mayor Judy does have its perks, and now he was promised the DPW Commisioner position. Well, he better think twice....word on the street is that LISA NERRICK (cousin to the Cheryl Mennino clan) is in line for the TOP COMMISSIONER position. I wonder if Manny knows...shhhhh shhhh "Loose lips sink ships" NOW I ASK YOU: Is she qualified for this position? NO

Lisa Nerrick cannot even run the special needs camp that she is in charge of now.Me and other parents don't even bother talking to her about things there.We go right to Shana who is one of the workers in charge.She knows everything that is going on and is wonderful.I would love to know how Lisa is even considered for the top DPW position,what qualifications does she have?
ANON 624 You are SO right! I too had nothing but poor experiences with Lisa Nerrick as well. She is NOT qualified or competent for any of positions. But she is BFF with Mayor Judy and Mary Chalmers. I also hear that Mary Chalmers will run the camp when Lisa moves to DPW. I guess they know that JFK is going to lose and not be Mayor to continue to ruin this great city anymore! Just wait and see, the word is that Mayor Judy is trying everything to get her in and Manny made a deal for his son. What a big joke these people are! They will sell themselves for anything. We are in BIG trouble if Lisa and Mary get anything. This should go to the ITEM. Only problem is that the item is loyal to the Mayor! TELL EVERY PARENT YOU KNOW AND I WILL DO THE SAME. THIS IS A DISGRACE!!!!!
I do not personally know Lisa, but the worker you mentioned is my daughter Shayna. Thank you for your kind words...She is a wonderful person! Sadly, Shayna just recently gave her notice because her hours at the camp will interfere with her school schedule this Fall semester. Shayna presented Lisa with a very professional letter of resignation giving her over 2 weeks notice and thanking her for the opportunity to work at the camp as a supervisor for the past couple of years. Unfortunately, but not unexpectedly, Lisa's response and behavior was anything but professional. Shayna and other workers at the camp have endured Lisa's lack of respect and professionalism for some time. I have told Shayna many times before that she should quit working at the camp because of Lisa's actions, but she always refused because she loved working with the children and she is currently pursuing her degree in special education and psychology. Some of Lisa's actions, such as not paying workers overtime pay for hours worked over 40 hours, is not only unethical, but I am pretty sure it is illegal. Although, I am not an attorney, so I guess we will have to ask Judy about that one. I am sure Lisa will have her version of events leading up to my daughter leaving her position at the camp, but I am confident I can find plenty of workers and parents who will not hesitate to speak the truth on behalf of my daughter and also on how poorly Lisa currently runs the special needs camp and parks department. I for one, do not feel she is at all qualified to be in charge of running the city's DPW.
