Citizens of the sleepy little kingdom of NESOPOTAMIA had been hearing of rampant rumors of the belligerent bard becoming betrothed to the EVIL QUEEN.

"Heavens no!" he exclaimed. "I have not been CATHErized! Do you want me to lay prostrate before you?"

His hearing was starting to go a little bad in his old age, that's why he was better at starting rumors than LISTENING to them.
