LET'S STAY AWAY FROM VISCIOUS CIRCLES

Teachers union’s idea has little local support

Honestly, I don't see where more "testing of teachers" would be any panacea for education. Sometimes raising the bar just puts you that much further away. We need to address the culture of education if we want to see any real improvement. Remember ultimately is to get better students, not better teachers. The teachers have already proven themselves.

We need to increased the perceive value of the results of a good education. There are enough hoops to jump through now adding more now would just be a distraction from our objective and make teachers more scarce which in turn would make class size larger. You see where I'm going here. We need better schools with smaller class sizes, first and OH YEAH, FULLY STOCKED LIBRARIES.

  1. Fully stocked Libraries are a thing of the past, dinosaurs, we need to invest in mobile devices that allow a library to be a bring your own or borrow our device to research or read...books can not be replaced totally but we need vision incorporating all of it.....

    1. You are right but I am not wrong. I agree that traditional books will soon go the way of 8-track tapes...BUT....with they advent of the Internet it is easier than ever to have a fully stocked library. You are most right about the need for VISION. We need a re dedication to the commitment of the importance of READING.
