Below is an update on the Goals & Objectives approved by the Harrison County Board of Education and to be completed by December 31, 2012. These goals were determined after the BOE conducted three work sessions with the Superintendent and her staff earlier this year.
As you can see, only a couple of the goals were not completed....yet! The goals that were not completed will be reconsidered and discussed in January 2013.
I wanted to share this update with you to reassure school employees, parents and community leaders that the Harrison County Board of Education is sincere in wanting to address the needs of our public school system.
I want to thank the board members, the Superintendent and her staff and all those who took part in setting and reaching these goals for investing several hundred hours of combined time and attention to the issues listed below.
The school board will set another work session in January to establish goals for our Board of Education to meet prior to June 30, 2013.
Thanks again,
Mike Queen
School Board President
