If you notice on the LYNN SCHOOLS website, http://www.lynnschools.org/, they have taken off reference to the WASHINGTON so called-INNOVATION SCHOOL. Why is that? Could I be alluding to the illusion in innovation?
Listen I am HAPPY to have a NEW school and I'm sure the PRINCIPAL and the TEACHERS will do a good job or I will call them out on it. What I didn't like was the hypocritical defacing of the memory of our first president by distorting the facts and OUTRIGHT LYING.
Thank goodness for LORI for following up on this travesty.
Remember I once asked LPS if they were FEELING LUCKY? Guess not.

ReplyDeleteI sent an email to the Executive Office of Education and attached the announcement that was on the LPS website asking them if Dr. Latham had the authority to rename a school at her discretion and call it an innovation school even though the state does not recognize it as such. I wonder if Dr. Latham was contacted by them and told she could not?? I am all for any curricula and program that will actually help in improving the learning process and education of all the kids in our district (unfortunately, LPS does not have many, if any) What I do not agree with and will not tolerate is Dr. Latham and her administration being deceptive, as was the case with the Washington School. Again, I have stressed many times that Dr. Latham lacks many of the essential qualities a good leader should and must possess, as she has once again proven.

ReplyDeleteBTW, you mentioned your daughter and Lynn Camps in a previous blog. Lisa Nerrick is in the process of training Mary Chalmers (mayor aide) to take over the Lynn Rec & Camps. She is not only not qualified, not certified, she is a disgrace and I would never send my child to go there or work there. She is worse than Lisa, if possible. Please check into this before your daughter returns. The Mayor is giving all of her disfunctional subjects new jobs, because she knows her time is near. Not soon enough! She and Latham have become very close and make all the decisions together with Ford, Capano amd Gallo.
Thank you, but my daughter will not be returning to the camp. I certainly hope Ms. Chalmers is not worse than Lisa Nerrick at running the special needs camp. I agree that I too would not send my child, especially a special needs child to the Lynn Special Needs Camp with the way Lisa mismanages it. It is very unfortunate for the children. I also would not be surprised if we hear that a complaint has been filed with the AGO by a current or former employee for employment law violations.
DeleteI hear what you are saying and I would also have that person file with the Office of Discrimination, Civil Rights Violation. That will put a bee in the bonnet of the Mayor. After all, she is responsible for putting her friends in these positions, eventhough she cries nepotism all the time! Well, if something is not done soon, she will have them all in line for their new positions soon. She knows that she is not getting re-elected! She has ruined this city. I hear Lisa is going to get the DPW Commissioner position with no experience or qualifications for the position. Just so wrong!
