GOING GOOD OR JUST GOOD TO GO
THIS IS GOOD TO KNOW!
but.....
how do we know it's good?
I mean this is the same news source that touted the WASHINGTON SCHOOL as an INNOVATION SCHOOL. Everybody knows now they were wrong. LPS even took down the misinformation on their own website, http://www.lynnschools.org/.
I wonder though about the accuracy of this claim since FORD SCHOOL is going to have UNPRECEDENTED enrollment, at least in the past twenty years. Then there are the TRACY TROUBLES with a class the size of 31.
STILL, we are told....
"Class sizes at the elementary level are very good right now," Latham said.
That is an admission to me that there are overcrowding issues at the upper levels. We all heard stories last year of BREED BUSTING AT THE SEAMS. We have new principals at two of the three middle schools with new assistant principals at all three.
Makes you wonder about just what the definition of "good" is.
Besides once somebody lies, you're NEVER really trust anything they say.

Why doesn't dr crane get rid of the room where the fish tank is? why does she still have sped inclusion rooms? She took most of the library out, why keep a librarian ? It will be totally ineffective!! Come on ...be sensible
ReplyDeleteGuess what even if your wise advice was followed there still would be an overcrowding problem at all the other schools. No doubt your solution is personal and ineffective. We could have an intelligent discussion on the educational worth of the suggestions you made but I am afraid one of us is lacking intelligence.
DeleteI guess that since the school committee members & the Mayor were elected, they ALL forgot about class sizes, school improvements, parents concerns,re-districting, and the overall best interest of our children! But, they voted on Latham (three more years)and the Budget, and raises for Principals! Which equals: Priceless!
ReplyDeleteWay to go school Committee, another year of "do nothing" for our children!
You must ALL be so proud!
I just love how Dr. Latham believes that 30 kids in a classroom makes us "in good shape" Let's put 30 desks and 30 kids in her office (which is probably bigger than many classrooms and has AC, heat and I believe even windows) and let's see how well she is able to concentrate and how much work she is able to get done. I would give her 5 minutes before she actually realized that 30 kids to a classroom is far from being in good shape (Unless of course she considers failing being in good shape)
