U.S.
attorney leads Breed discussion
This is a good article identifying and somewhat framing the problems our teens face. Bravo, job well done! But....,
then again so would looking at a police log.
What is needed are concrete proposals and actual programs to give our kids direction. That is why I have been such a proponent of OCCUPY LVTI. It could serve as a pilot program for positive change in our community.
Meetings have been held, DR. LATHAM has given her tentative approval but at the same time roadblocks have been thrown up making it impossible to come to fruition. This has allowed DR. LATHAM the luxury of appearing to be publicly in support of the idea but all the while helping to insure that it will never happen. She is a SMART lady.
Prove me wrong and let's get this thing open. Once that is done there are school buildings all across the city that go mostly un or underused all across the city.
I was a bit confused when reading this article and the comments made by Mr. Costello and Dr. Latham. They made it sound, at least to me, that LPS offers after school activities and programs for all the kids in Lynn and they were encouraging the kids to attend these. Am I missing something? Does LPS offer such programs?
