"PARTY LIKE IT'S 1999" OOPS! IT'S 2012, MY BAD

Dance party rocks Classical

Why can't there be more parties like this? If we want our young kids to stay out of trouble, we need to give them more organized things to do. Organized by the right people.

There are others out there who will organize our youths. They are called GANGS.

  1. they need weekly events at the high schools and middle schools - once a year is hardly enough to stop gangs.

  2. It's only part of the solution. You can't stop gangs with dances alone, or sports alone, or music alone, or art alone.. different kids are into different pursuits. The challenge is offering a good balance of activities that kids actually want to participate in.

  4. I will readily agree that dances alone won't solve the problem, I was being a little flip as I am prone to be. My point is that we have these GREAT facilities that could be utilixed as a place to be, it only takes a little organization. They don't call it DISORGANIZED CRIME, do they?

  5. they need to learn to respect eachother and themselves before any REAL change can happen. we need to lead by example in this city, unfortunately, we do not have enough REAL good leaders to demonstrate leadership, respect and overall kindness toward eachother. just look at the politics in this city and the way things are being handled in our schools, city halletc. poor examples breed poor results! time for REAL changes in this city! start at the top!!!

    1. Let's see what they can learn from your great wealth of wisdom - 1). avoid responsibility for what you say(ie.-anonymous) 2). avoid leadershi(no one can follow you if they don't know who you are) 3). if you don't resect yourself, how can you respect others and oh, yeah could you tell me exactly how do you define kindness?

  6. Ok Stanley! I am just sharing like you do. I do not jump on every word you say. I never said avoid responsibility. This is a community problem, not just an individual problem. I am making suggestions and looking for the same thing you are "solutions" that will work for all. Most of the kids end up on our streets or involved in criminal activity......respect,kindness,morals, self worth......
