LPS SUBJECT TO MURPHY'S LAW

Pickering principal moving to Swampscott Middle School

First of all congratulations to Mr. Murphy, I know him to be a good man. I am sure he will enjoy going back to his roots.

That being said, let's not discount the fact that he is leaving US. Surely he must feel that PICKERING was his home now and was proud of his accomplishments. I am sure the fact that his school is in such disrepair is older, yet MARSHALL is getting a new building had to play in his thinking.

I am not a mind reader nor do I have any knowledge of his thinking,

BUT......

I'd like to point out he did not rush to the mic the night the mercenaries addressed the LSC voted to extend DR. LATHAM'S contract. In fact, I'm not sure he was in the building. Probably he had already applied for this job.

IN FACT NO MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCIPALS SPOKE ON HER BEHALF. WHY IS THAT?

  1. Contrary to what Mr. Cyr thinks, the middle schools in Lynn are terrible (well almost every school in Lynn is terrible but the middle schools are some of the worst) When the city has principals leaving left and right it should be an eye opener for the parents and the school committee and they should be looking into it. According to what I have been told by some, the superintendent is not supportive and uses bullying tactics to get what she wants. Happy principals do not leave their positions. There is a reason they are leaving and it's not because they just think its time for a change. Dr. Latham will be responsible for the eventual fall of Lynn Public Schools. It has actually already begun which is why this district is not only among the lowest performing in the state, but is among the lowest 10%. Actually since this district is ranked 16 out of 297 districts it is really among the lowest 5%
