RAMS versus the DAWG'S. Everybody loves a rivalry. Everybody, that is except people at COMMERCIAL STREET. Many of the people that commute to occupy office space above the Tiger's Den came down to testify on behalf of the current superintendent. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and in this case they may have been right.
But, sometimes you don't always have a right to voice them. Last Thursday night's Lynn School Committe meeting was one of those time for the six figured imports that ambushed the committee with pre-planned rhetoric incited by a mass e mail. Had it not been for PATTI CAPANO suspending the rules that require all speakers to be residents of LYNN, many of these bullies would not have had a pulpit.
PATTI may, may have been within her rights as acting chair of the LYNN SCHOOL COMMITTEE because our HONORABLE MAYOR so as to give her that power. The entire incident paints all involved with a tainted ethical brush.
Those same foriegners from afar probably promote the tradition of competition between schools but seemed to advocate the suppression of competition for the leadership of those same schools.
Quite a showing of teacher's union members, Mayor, and the politicians at Charlie Gallo's time tonight at AOH. He is making friends.
