COMMITTEE TO CONSULT MARSHALL

Marshall Middle School project moving forward

I am glad to see the ITEM finally get around to a story the WATCH covered on Feb. 15th after I went to the PRE-BID meeting at MARSHALL.(watch the sarcasm now, they've talked about doing a story on your petition and you don't want to blow it with your fresh mouth) You should have seen the look on the GOOD DOCTOR'S face when she came in and saw me sitting there. Who could forget the tender moments that we shared. I feel all warm and fuzzy thinking about it.

Not only did I go to the meeting but I got the minutes and other paperwork associated with the meeting. Did you know there is a BUILDING COMMITTEE? They talked about it at the meeting but never really said who was on it. Well one of the documents they sent me was a list of who is on it. Here you go:

1. Our Honorable Mayor, "MADAME MANGLER"
2.Mike Donovan, ISD
3.Charles White, CITY PURCHASING AGENT
4. John Ford, LSC
5. Dr. Rich Cowdell, MARSHALL PRINCIPAL
         (there was a notation that someone else may be appointed in his place {at the time he had his app in                                          for a job in Wakefield, supposedly got then turned down)
6.Dr. Latham, SUPERINTENDENT
7. Dr. Warry, LPS DEPUTY SUPERINTENDENT
8. Richard Fortucci, LYNN CFO
9. James Leonard, CONSULTANT (where have we heard that before?), former LPS SUPERINTENDENT
10. Edward T. Calnan, BOARD TRUSTEES, ST. MARY'S HS, RETIRED MA HOUSING FINANCE

The last two are supposed to represent the community with building, engineering, and architecture experience.

YOU KNOW, I WAS WONDERING IS THERE A STIPEND INVOLVED FOR SERVING ON THIS COMMITTEE?
