Residents from Lynn & Nahant appeared at a public hearing this past Tuesday in Lynn Council Chambers, to stand in opposition to the Home Rule petition of city officials' voting themselves significantly higher retro-raises and increased pensions, beyond Charter restrictions for the same term. Two days later, many watched as the School Committee battled the school budget with layoffs and cuts.
