KINDERGARTEN KIDS GO FOR RIDE
The COMMERCIAL STREET Consolidation of the KINDERGARTEN Classes will mean long buses for short people. Has this ever happened before?
Im still confused about this.People are posting different things. Some are saying there was a vote and the school committee approved this and some are saying Latham told the school committee she was doing this and there wasn't a vote. So my question is,was there a vote or not? Latham cannot do this without the approval of the school committee whether she and they realize it or not.
Here goes - Yes, there was a vote and it was approved 7 - 0. Donna did express strong reservations about the stairs and if the DOE had actually approved the site. Maria raised questions about considerations for parents. Dr. Latham had assured everyone that the three principals at the sending schools were all on board and never mentioned the fact the idea had been presented only hours earlier and that the kindergarten teachers themselves had not been consulted.
In the end though, everybody approved although no word was given if the DOE had signed in/
Some kindergarten teachers were told , not the ones at Ford ...it was kept from them and dd crane agreed to the idea initially . Thus the vote . Now she changed her mind , thus Donna coppolas objection.
