The first thing that JUMPED out at me when I looked at the front budget page was that even though there was an almost 8 MILLION dollar increase from FY 114 in the TOTAL budget, ther was over a 3 MILLION dollar decrease in NON-SALARY expenditures.
This translates into about 4% less money for books, paper, pencils, or anything else that doesn't result in a paycheck.
The MAYOR'S new salary might be in them along with increased compensation for committee members but don't expect to find any new books.
Teachers compensation?
