MORE CHARGES OF LPS IRREGULARITIES MAY HAVE BEEN BUMP-ED UP

Correct me if I am wrong.

I do believe they run our COACH program,

my question is how much of our money went into these questionable expenditures. HMMM?

    1. Remember there is some history of LPS entering into contracts with questionable characters. Last year I believe it came to light that LPS used a company that another school district for ASBESTOS removal that had or would become INDITED.

  2. They absolutely do. However, the administrators that are being discussed in this article have nothing to do with the consultants provided to LPS by the May Institute. The providers from the May are required to maintain documentation regarding the hours they bill by getting school employee signatures for hours provided in the school, or parent signatures for hours provided in the home.

    1. Oh I'm sorry, but those consultants work for whom? I would hazard a guess that the DOCUMENTED hours that these CONSULTANTS bill for contribute to that administrators salary? Wasn't there a special MEETING OF THE WHOLE a while back where it came to light LPS had some consultants being paid OUTRAGEOUS salaries? Maybe that was just a SISTER story.

  3. The article does not mention the Lynn schools specifically, which I'm sure has a contract with a cap on it. This is more towards overbilling Mass Health benefits. Hopefully it is resolved or corrected.

    1. Of course it doesn't mention LPS specifically. However, the assumption by the publicalv is "We are known by the company we keep!".

  4. "The audit shows that the organization continued to focus most of its activities in Massachusetts, which is responsible for about two-thirds of the organization’s revenue. During fiscal 2011, for example, the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services paid the May Institute $31.8 million, while local Massachusetts governments and quasi-governmental agencies paid the organization another $28.6 million."

It may not mention Lynn Schools or any other individual organizations, but who's to say the $28.6 million paid by local governments was not used to fund the outrageous salaries? My guess is these funds were used.
