Lynn Youth: One Voice, One Community

(Printable Flier: Youth Program 2012 Flier)
The Lynn Community Association will host a program and round table forum on youth in Lynn on Thursday, March 15, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Congregation Ahabat Sholom, 151Ocean Street, Lynn.
Presenters will include Antonio Gutierrez of LYSOA (Lynn Youth Street Outreach Advocacy), Briana Iacovetta of Girls, Inc., and Harry Schnur of KAYA. Presentations will include information on programs each of these organizations offer to engage Lynn youth in positive experiences, as well as discussion on the process of guiding teens and young adults toward productive and healthy lifestyles.
“We hear so many stories about our youth getting into trouble. We simply have to make a greater effort to put our youth more in the way of productive activities, which will benefit everyone, “ says Mary Trahan, President of the Association. “No one wants their child to have problems in society, and parents sometimes need a helping hand, regardless of their socioeconomic status or culture; everyone wants to feel valued and recognized in his/her community.”
The program is open to all Lynn residents without charge.
Membership in the association is free to all. For additional information, visit us on Facebook, email lynncommunity@comcast.net, or call 781-346-9060.
