Although LSC members RICK STARBARD and MARIA CARRASCO were in another part of the building at another meeting going on, no one from the SPED DEPARTMENT showed up at the meeting despite being on the posted agenda.
FRANCIS MARTINEZ, the PARENT LIAISON who had been counted on for translation services was absent creating a potential hardship for the non-English speaking parent that did attend. Thankfully DR. CRANE of FORD SCHOOL was able to arrange for that service to be provided. In FRANCIS'S defense the absence may well stem from some misunderstandings about roles.
To move forward, all of the adults need to come to the table and forsake extremism for the sake of territorialism
I agree with you stan...having the control of the pac with no agenda's is like having a cup of coffee with no coffee..lets all get along and work toward helping the children and forget about our personal vandetta's..this is not what it's all about..

ReplyDeleteWasn't Dr. Latham just saying how absences "irk" her?? Again, perhaps the kids of LPS are just following the example set by our administrators (particularly those on commercial street) and just not showing up because quite frankly they don't give a shit??
