'All the Cool Girls are Lesbians' - Who I am and what really happened www.youtube.com Letter to the mayor of Lynn: Dear Mayor Kennedy
The MAYOR should HIRE this girl. She clearly knows how to get out in front of a story and use the media to get her point across. There are a lot of lessons to be learned here.

Very impressive young lady!! I shared the link on facebook and I encourage everyone to do the same. The mayor was correct...this student's letter was very well written! I will also add that this story is just another example of the lack of experience and leadership skills some of our administrators have. In fact, lack of experience, lack of professionalism, and lack of leadership seems to be the culture of our school district. I hate to be the bearer of bad news Mayor Kennedey, but it is not the students bringing disrespect to our schools and districts this time, it is our so-called leaders. Once again, I urge LPS to practice what it preaches. You cannot have anti-bully campaigns, yet have bullies as "leaders". You cannot preach about sexual harrassment and discrimination, yet have top administrators causing incidents such as this. You cannot claim to want parental involvement, yet pick and choose which parents you want involved!
ReplyDeleteTouche!
Deletefunny, the mayor could not make any decisions at last sc meeting, but made sure she brought this one up. my guess, she is trying to get some positive press or make sure she does not have another law suit on her hands. they are getting harder to handle seeing that the growing number has tripled since she became so-called mayor.
ReplyDeleteMayor should have handled the case without bringing to School Committee. Now ACLU involved and the city looks bad. You had to look twice to see what that T-shirt said. First time in a long time I disagree with Rick Starbard. If it said "some girls are Lesbian" they would have had same reaction - the issue has nothing to do with saying Lesbians superior or better.
ReplyDeleteIf they would have ignored it the issue would have went away. It's not the kids who were offended it was the adults!
Deleteanon 10:02 and stanley.
ReplyDeletei have to say i agree with you both.
i did not like starrbards remarks and was not impressed with any of the sc. we are now in the paper and ACLU has another case here in lynn. lynn is becoming a true embarrassment just like our mayor. lack of leadership starts at the top and shit flows downward. we all have to duck or dodge the shit till shit is voted out or thrown out of office. i am sure the t.v. stations will be coming to lynn once again...bad press again. god help us.
