I can't help but laugh a little at the irony of what's about to play out. You see we are about to have over the LACK OF TRANSPARENCY in regards to the NET SCHOOL SPENDING SAGA and the POLITICS OF PLAYGROUND PICKING is being held at KIPP ACADEMY at 7 PM on JUNE 27.
The funny thing is that KIPP is one of those so-called dreaded CHARTER SCHOOLS that suck funds from what some people refer to as the REAL public schools. All the LSC except for one and all the CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS signed a resolution OPPOSING lifting the CAP on CHARTER SCHOOLS potentially draining millions more dollars from the budget of LPS.
However the meeting has to be held there because the "PUBLIC" schools charge a fee to hold a community meeting. A measure initiated by the one LSC member who DID NOT sign the OPPOSITION PROCLAMATION. That would be the MAYOR.
Her replacing public school union workers with a private scab cleaning outfit has effectively pretty much curtailed building usage, Now you would think that all would make the MAYOR in the pro-CHARTER SCHOOL camp and she might be. Still she remains silent about everything. TYPICAL.
