Now that we know a deal exists that forgives $9 millon of the city's obligation to its most innocent, vulnerable citizens (You know the ones that are here legally and still can't vote-the students) we can talk a little bit now about the negotiators. Let's start with the MAYOR.
Look at this statement to the ITEM via the GLOBE,
You would think Lynn’s mayor, Judy Flanagan Kennedy, would be trying to whip that excitement up again. But she has simply rolled over, telling the Lynn Daily Itemshe’d never ask the state to reverse a decision. “If I want to have a say in how the state budget gets spent, maybe I should run for governor,” she said, utterly abdicating her duty. (She’s had no similar compunction about seeking a say in federal immigration policy. Perhaps she’s running for president.)
I guess this kind of neglect is just par for the course. I wonder if she knows a 51 A can be filed for child neglect? Food for thought, "It doesn't even have to be true to be filed. Once filed the state is obligated to investigate those charges. So in the big picture one charge would have 15,000 counts. Chew on that for a while.
