Catholic schools celebrate $1M donation
This nice! I am so happy for them.....
BUT.....
this amount covers a number of years and LPS is facing more than 7 times that shortfall in just ONE. Sure there may be a legislative band-aid but how has their first-aid worked out for us so far? Lynn may be a city of firsts but aid hasn't been one of them.
We need some sort of town meeting to update us on plans and progress on this problem. How can we seriously approach next years budget if we don't have some assurances? Hopefully next years budget will include an amount the amount required and not just enough in order that certain people in city hall keep their jobs.
