it is NO secret to anyone how the votes have lined up in the committee. RICK'S voice would be somewhat silenced and his VOTE uncast on this issue.
WHY?
RICK'S wife is a SPED aide, so he would have to RECUSE himself from any vote on this issue. This means that common sense will be sidelined.
DO YOU THINK WE CAN SURVIVE THIS? LET YOUR SCHOOL COMMITTEE HEAR!

I laughed out loud when Latham played dumb and seemed to have no clue about this company's focus on privatization. Any amount of research into this company will show you that. She knew and I'm sure it's part of her plan.

DeleteFirst of all my name is Lois not Mrs. Rick so I would appreciate it if you would address me accordingly. As for it being a coincidence that I was there, the topic of hiring a company who is known for privatizing Paras was on the agenda and it directly affects my job so why wouldn't I be there. I wanted to hear what was said for myself so I'm not sure how you wouldn't get that.
In response to your comment about my husbands "plan", his only plan was to be on the School Committee for the purpose of being the voice of the students, teachers and parents. If you don't get that then it's obvious whose side you represent.

I know she was there, she sat behind me. If you did your research, you would know that. If you listen to what was said you would have known, Rick did not even question privatization (that's my question), he questioned FUTURE'S objectivity.

ReplyDeleteWhat she is essentially doing is setting the scene for her intended plan, which is to privatize SPED, knowing very well it will go to a vote where her buddies, Capano, Ford, Gallo and the mayor, will vote in her favor (as always) and she will get what she wanted from the start...PRIVATIZATION OF SPED!
AND.....she is going about it in her usual manner.....legal, but typically not ethical (although some of her tactics have not always been legal either) AND.....as always, she "plays dumb" by pretending these were never her intentions or she "didn't know" and immediately puts any and all blame on someone else, so she can attempt to dodge any accountability!! Her actions are so predictable!!
