GIVING SAFETY THE FINGER

At the last LSC meeting there was a request for an executive session for deciding on a negotiating position to bargain who pays how much for the cost of actual cost of the fingerprinting.

Really? Why are we even debating this? LSC should just pick up the tab for this and be done with it. The cost may not be too much of a burden for the teachers. I mean they make decent money but there are plenty of aides and such that don't make the big bucks.

Then again teachers have plenty of expenses just keeping up their certification. Of course there is the thing about having to buy classroom supplies which some people would say that LPS provides teachers with all they need. Okay but I could probably find one or two people disagree with that statement.

For all the claims of security priority, dragging your feet to save a few pennies seem pretty petty and pointless.
