Dear Principal LaRivee,
Unfortunately, I have been informed that the NASA BANNER
removed right before the break has not been put back up but also no one seems
to know the location of where it is stored or if it was destroyed. Perhaps I
may be wrong but the failure to respond leads me no other alternative but to
conclude the worst.
It is both tragic and appropriate that I am writing you on
Memorial Day seeing how your callous and cavalier attitude has defaced the
sacrifice made by an American hero, astronaut, and teacher, Christa McAuliffe.
Her legacy has always been a part of that school’s history.
Need I remind you that removal of gifts accepted by the
school is a violation of school policy unless approved by the school committee.
It is quite possible that sanctions or reprimands could be forthcoming if
someone decides to uphold the stated policy.
