Yes our water's been tested
That much is true.
Did I hear right every three years
We test only two?
At that incremental rate
To test them all will take many a year
Before with any confidence we can be sure
That the tests will prove we're in the clear.
Bet there are lots of pipes
Constructed partly of lead
To try and calm fears
And put this controversy to bed.
Unfortunately the conclusions
They may eventually reach
That from these old pipes
Contaminants they did leach.
