Dear Mayor and other members of the Lynn School Committee,
Given all of the attention given recently surrounding the
transgender use of bathrooms and the potential loss of Title IX monies, I feel
that it is extremely important for the LSC to take an official public position
on this issue and outline the steps you are taking to comply with this federal
directive if that is your intention. Since the LSC’s very public vote in the
past of banning any volunteers from Gordon College for the college’s beliefs
then expressing your support for the intent of the president’s directive should
not cause any angst.
So I may ask what is LPS’s plan going forward in order to
comply. Given the precarious financial position we always seem to be in, we can
ill afford to lose any source of revenue.
