LOOK AT LORI'S NUMBERS, LISTEN UP LUCKY

Here is a copy of an email LORI's been circulating:

Good Morning Everyone:

I am contacting all of you regarding our most recent MCAS scores.  If any of the information I have listed here is incorrect, please let me know.  According to the information I have, our district certainly is not improving.  In fact, it appears our district is actually declining.  As you all know, we are no longer the leader of the urban districts, or as many of you like to say "the best of the worst"     Based on these latest scores, I certainly hope this school committee decides to finally set some goals for our schools and district and that you do so immediately.  As you can see, our children, schools and district cannot afford any further delays.  In addition to setting goals, it imperative that you ensure that Dr. Latham and her administration focus and stay on track on accomplishing the set goals and that you as our school committee hold her and her administration accountable if they do not.  Contrary to what Mr. Ford believes and has proclaimed, you do not work for Dr. Latham and your job is not to support her.  Your obligation is to the children, schools, and district.  You committee members have voted and continue to vote on giving away hundreds of thousands of dollars in administrator raises, including $25,000 to Dr. Latham.  I would like to know if you think the following performance results are what is expected from a superintendent and adminstrative staff that continues to be rewarded?  Just what exactly are they being rewarded for?  Can any of you please tell me when the children of this failing school district will start seeing and receiving the benefits of these exorbitant raises?  When will they be getting rewarded with the benefit of an excellent or even adequate education?

  1. I cannot take credit for gathering all the data...This was the work of the amazing Cleo! I merely copied and pasted in order to include it in my email. As always, thank you Cleo!! Patti Capano did respond by saying that they have set aside October 4 to discuss goal setting.

  2. You're welcome.

One edit I initially forgot - Sewall Anderson increased from Level 2 to Level 1.
