School Budget

Dear Lynn School Committee members,
As you may recall during the last LSC meeting, the Mayor promised to provide you with figures today for the money available for next years budget. This promise was made just before a vote was taken on the override of her veto of Mr. Gallo's proposed budget as a starting point for negotiations.
Since I am sure that her promise had a major influence on whether or not to support Mr. Gallo's motion, I do think it imperative that she live up to her end of the bargain. I have already written her this morning conveying as much.
Although I realize I may not be privy to the actual numbers yet, I do hope you will uphold your sworn obligations to the citizens of Lynn. These are difficult fiscal times that require honest, objective confrontation with reality.
