Due to the impending fiscal disaster due to the Mayor's continuous
desire to shortchange the Lynn Public Schools I strongly urge you
against passage of any budget until such time a definite plan is in place
to resolve this crisis.

I do realize the consequences of playing this version of fiscal chicken but
the danger in allowing the Mayor to run roughshod over the Massachusetts
General Law is far worse It is your sworn duty to protect the students of Lynn
and insure they have the education to which they are entitled.

No one will answer because most of them are clueless about what net school spending even is and just how much deep #$@& the city is in. The mayor got her salary doubled, the city council got their raises, the super got her raise, and other admins got theirs. Meanwhile, we can expect to see police, fire and other city personnel lose their jobs. Their budgets are already being swindled away by the hundreds of thousands. I wonder if they will be so supportive of the mayor then.
ReplyDeleteI think it is HILARIOUS in a SAD way that many of those same people holding signs at election time may well be soon in the unemployment line.
