At the last LSC meeting a NEW person was appointed as the BOVERINI BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT director, one NICOLAS KOSTAN.
As you may have heard, I'm not from around here but that name sounds familiar. Wasn't there an old SUPERINTENDENT that was fired that had a similar sounding moniker?
Maybe this person is qualified and maybe thee is no stipend involved but I can't let this slide without saying something. ASKING QUESTIONS, it's what I do, my BUSINESS, so to speak.
Nick Kostan was not fired to the best of my knowlege. He retired.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I won't go to bat for my source because I can't remember who it was. I will say this though, often people choose to RETIRE when the environment gets caustic too caustic for/to them. I will say I have heard things.
DeleteNow retirement is/can be an offer to do other things like MR. RIDLEY who filled in as temporary principal at MARSHALL, BREED, and soon ST. MARY's. Then there is DR. CRANE who also RETIRED as principal at FORD SCHOOL who has went on to a successful professor at SALEM STATE and is helping to develop a COMMUNITY SCHOOL teaching model. Retirements are not always an amicable thing but sometimes it's the best revenge.
Now I have heard from a very reliable source that MR. KOSTAN did retire in good standing and that I must have got my memories crossed with a mother with similar ethnic origins. I TOLD MY SOURCE THIS HOW I LEARN THINGS FROM BEING WRONG. Anyway I stand corrected or at least elaborated on.
