Well, it's been over a week now since the last LSC meeting and I wonder how many of the promised meetings have been held? You know the ones where the our most honorable mayor and the equably honorable Dr. Latham were going to listen to LVTI's Alumni President RON BECKETT'S plans to rescue the machine shop. Why would we doubt their intentions were anything but sincere?
MR. BECKETT surely was long-winded and we had a schedule and an agenda to follow. Maybe he was taking so long because he had something to say. Hopefully the promised rendezvouses weren't with silence.
Other promised meetings weren't so high profile. No, their offers didn't make the papers but like Mr. Beckett, Dr. Latham and an Mayor Kennedy offered to meet with NEIL BARRY to discuss an innovative proposal to provide innovative and creative business that could provide summer employment opportunities for our high school youth. Vinnie "GQ" Spirito also showed some interest in meeting to discuss the idea.
I am going to give MR. BARRY the chance to explain his idea that will hopefully develop into a wildly successful plan. This is a family-friendly BLOG so I just tell you it involves BOXER SHORTS.
SAY WHAT YOU DO AND DO WHAT YOU SAY!
