LIFE IS ABOUT CHOICES AND THE SCHOOL COMMITTEE HAS ONE TO MAKE SOON

Cowdell: Exit was a hard choice

SOMEONE QUICK, CALL 911 I CAN'T BREATHE! YOU SEE I AM LAUGHING SO HARD I CAN'T SWALLOW ANYTHING THAT INCLUDES THIS STORY.

I am sure parts of it are true. No doubt this decision weighed heavy on DR. COWDELL'S  mind. He is too good a man. The question you should be asking is "What drove him to the point a choice had to me made?"

Sure HEALTH reasons have to play a factor, STRESS is the silent killer.

EXCEPT IN THIS CASE, I DON'T BELIEVE SHE WAS TOO SILENT?

  1. A resignation without explanation unofficially means so long.

Dr. Crane is taking her work to Salem.
Mr. Cowdell is taking his work to Peabody.

Both are educators. Both love Lynn and their students.
Yet both are taking their profound expertise out of Lynn.

Maybe the lesson these educators are really teaching is one to Lynn?
The School Department is making a muck out of everything? Aren't they?

    1. Teaching a lesson to Lynn? Sounds pretty petty to me. Doesn't that just punish the children if the school dept is supposedly "making a muck"?

Crane has been sour grapes since she didnt get superintendent a few years ago. Shes been stirring the pot ever since.

Cowdell seems like a great guy. Creative differences may be it.

    2. Let me let you in on a little secret, I not only know DR.CRANE, I also like and respect her. I have seen NO sour grapes, she just fights for the kids. I have even heard her say she regrets ever applying for the superintendents job. While I do doubt that, there is no doubt where I think her passion lies.

As for DR. COWDELL, he is a GREAT man, too good to be subject to the pressures placed on him. You're right about "creative differences", the difference being the enviroment that was created.

  2. And to both it is a "hard choice".

Well of course it is a "hard choice", because they both love their work, but see no other way in changing Lynn's corrupt school system.

Would you support the current regime?

  3. The rumors are pretty much as the blog has reported it. She treats them behind closed doors with constant disrespect and is smart enough to leave no evidence of her mean spirited methods. Dr. Cowdell must have been in a position to leave and took the opportunity. If you were being treated poorly and disrespected on a regular basis would you want to find freedom.

  4. I have been in the Bully pit. Cowdell was forced out, but too much a gentleman to say anything. I was going to be fired for 2 extra weeks after my son died.
