Fact check...I don't think Olga' s dad ever voted at ford...for more reasons than it wasn't a voting place when she was at Ford.
ReplyDeleteWhy let gacts het in the way of the truth? How long have you lived in this town?
ReplyDeleteWell, just for the record, my daughters HAVE seen ME vote. If they could take part in that AT school, and make it part of the lesson plan for the day, talk about a lesson in being prepared for what the real world is like. Not every child does have that opportunity, either because the parents can't bring them with them, or possibly the parents are not allowed to vote for whatever reason. What better way to teach children about the importance of voting than to let them witness the proceedings, see a ballot, maybe even hold a mock election alongside the adults. and see the importance just a few votes can make. Students can educate their parents or maybe even realize that it's up to them to take part in something so important. Yes, teachers do talk about it in school, but we all know to actually see it in action, is completely different than a lesson plan on the white board.
ReplyDeleteI was born in Lynn Hospital in 1950. So a long time !
