Pasta and cake decorating were on the menu for three classes at the Lynn Woods school Friday after they turned in a small avalanche of box tops.

  Lori D'Amico Extremely unfortunate that our students have to clip box tops to raise money. Meanwhile, they are facing a loss of over $7 million in essential state aid simply because city and school officials failed to abide by the state's restriction regarding net school spending.

  Lori D'Amico I believe it is you doing the spinning. You are correct, collecting box tops has been going on for decades, but if you believe students and teachers do not need and depend on the money they collect, you are the one who is mistaken. The city has a shortfall in over $15 million in net school spending, yet you think students don't "have to" clip box tops or do anything else they can to raise money? I do thank you for at least responding to my comment, since you rarely respond to my questions and concerns when they are made in private.
