SEWELL ALL SET FOR SANTA

Hope you enjoyed your holiday break! Don't forget that tomorrow, December 3rd, there will be the Tree Lighting at the Lynn Commons at 4:30pm. Holiday activities will be at the City Hall Lobby at 5:00pm (including pictures with Santa!) and a movie (How the Grinch Stole Christmas) at the Lynn Auditorium, City Hall at 7:00pm.

  1. Great festivities!! Too bad they are before most people who work actually get home!! Is it me or does this city schedules most, if not all, events and meetings based on the assumption that people don't work?

  2. Well it is a school night and most people are home by 5 and what about a 7 pm movie? Boston does their tree lighting at 7 pm . You just love to complain? Will you go? You are at home .

  3. You may be right, most people may be home by 5. However, the tree lighting is at 4:30, so again, these people will not be able to make it, so I am not sure what your point is. A tree lighting at 7 pm would be great. Many people who work would be home in time to make it. Do you know what would be even better? If these festivities were held on a weekend when there is no school the next day and many people are not working. I guess this would make too much sense though.

  4. I do thinkthese festivities are set by the city and Sewell was just serving as messenger. Good planning makes sense though.
