FORD SCHOOL TO BE NAMED A SUPER SCHOOL

IMAGINE LEARNING has named FORD SCHOOL an IMAGINE NATION SUPER SCHOOL for 2012-2013. The award comes with TWO plaques, one for the school and one for the district plus a banner acknowledging the accomplishment for the school.

IMAGINE LEARNING is a computer based tutorial program first started I believe in the SPED DEPARTMENT and quickly expanded thanks to EUNICE ALDERICH and the ELL DEPARTMENT. Both departments have slightly different programs but both have enjoyed phenomenal success. I am pretty sure that other elementary schools use this program as well in different ways. In fact, I believe INGALLS received some sort of distinction last year. Of course I would welcome comments providing additional information.

I would say this program along with the FIRST-IN-MATH program played a major part in FORD SCHOOL barely missing LEVEL 2 status. Considering the high SPED population and the almost 50 different languages spoken there, that was a remarkable achievement.

This only reinforces what I've been saying, that the future of education is in technology not in new big fanancy buildings with shiny doorknobs.

  1. Isn't Ford a Level 3 school?

    1. Yes, it barely missed the LEVEL 2 cutoff but for your edification - YES, IT'S A LEVEL 3 SCHOOL.
