PAC IS BACK ON TUESDAY
Hey I got a call we are meeting on TUE. night at FORD SCHOOL at 7 pm. It will be good to break bread with my SPED FRIENDS. Oh what trouble we will be able to stir up! Thanks to LPS SPED department for putting out the call.
stanley...its a new pac...and i believe no one is looking to stir up and trouble...they are looking to help the kids and to work with the school dept...
No It is members of the old pac that are sick of all the games and nothing being accomplished.. I tried for months to get a meeting going to no avail so in the absence of a chairman or co chairman it fell on me. WE will be a New PAC that wants to work with the school to get things done. Years have been wasted and enough is enough! I realy believed you wanted to help the kids and that is why I got involved with the pac in the first place. You could have taken the reins and called a meeting but you did not so why would you want to cause trouble We just want to accomplish something for the kids this year. Lisa
Good for you! Happy to see people actually putting the work in alongside the school department to get things done and better the school system for the children as opposed just bitching or emailing whoever may be relevant to the situation. Things will get done when people work together (and no you can't call people incompetent all the time and expect them to work with you and involve you in the decision making process...)
Don't get me wrong, I am not just about trouble. I have had no trouble working with DR. MENINO or others in the SPED department. I wasn't sure what was up with the election last years since not enough board members to make a quorum. I've been busy with my psuedo-law practice and my crazy life. I only want the truth.
Since this is a new PAC and it sounds like everyone is hoping to do things differently and accomplish more, may I suggest someone contacting LPS and have them update their website. Currently, it states meetings are held on the first Monday of every month, the parent liason is Frances Martinez, and it lists the 2011 officers, including the contact info for Dave Ellis who is listed as the chairperson. I hope this new PAC and the SPED department work well together to accomplish what hopefully are joint goals!! Good Luck to all!
LPS must have already been contacted since they put out an allcall. Just remember things are not always what they appear. Best wishes to the NEW PAC, I'll be there.
