PICKERING'S STEPHANIE TO SHINE

Local Project 351 8th Grade Service Ambassador Helps Lead Largest Youth Service Event in State

Students from across the Commonwealth unite to lead communities
in service benefiting Cradles to Crayons
Pickering Middle School is pleased to announce that 8th grader, Stephanie Letch, will lead peers and community members in Project 351’s Spring Service, a children’s’ clothing and shoe drive benefiting Cradles to Crayons.  Stephanie joined more than 225 Project 351 Ambassadors and Alumni leading local service projects in 205 Massachusetts’ cities and towns, the largest youth-led service project in the state.
Stephanie serves as Pickering Middle School’s Project 351 Ambassador and was selected by local EDUCATORS for her exemplary ethic of service, potential for leadership, and embodiment of the values of kindness, compassion, and humility.   Project 351 places a special premium on quiet leaders and unsung heroes.  For a year’s term, Ambassadors engage in leadership development, unique service opportunities, and unity with peers representing every community in the Commonwealth.  Spring Service is one of four cornerstone initiatives designed to build skills, develop empathy and responsibility, and create transformative impact in community.
New and gently used children’s’ clothing, (kids’ sizes 0-20; adult sizes small and medium), and shoes (child sizes 0-13 and adult sizes 1-10) will be collected at Pickering between March 30th – April 9th.  Please join us in our “Spring Greening” by donating to this worthy cause.
