Voting in the Highlands

Dear Councilmen,

I strongly urge you to consider bringing voting back to the Highlands neighborhood. The Human Rights Commission has previously ruled on voter disenfranchisement and while in the past there was a concerted effort to return voting to the Ford School where it had been in years past, members of the Highlands Coalition and others have coalesced around the goal of placing a polling station at KIPP ACADEMY.

This place has been suggested as an alternative possibility in the past by none other than the city clerk, Mary Audley, and does not have the handicap accessibility issues surrounding Ford so I see no reason in proceeding forward. Surely the collective goal of all is to ensure maximum voter participation and citizen engagement.

I look forward to your speedy response on this issue.

Sincerely,

Stan
